Should I start my business from my home then move to a building or lease a space?

Question by cathrine s: Should I start my business from my home then move to a building or lease a space?

~~Keeping your overhead the lowest you can to start out is the smartest thing you can do. It will also give you more start up capital as well as advertising money, both crucial to starting a new business. No point in getting into a lease untill you absolutely have to. You should do very well working our of your home. Just treat it as a job, and ignore your personal life just as you would have to if your were in an office. Try to use a website to showcase your business as you would in a commercial business. Most people prefer working with a website anyway rather than having to look for brick and mortar. Yours sounds like a perfect home based business, you'll not only save in rent, but insurance, utilities, etc.

Hiring Ex-Offenders Makes Business Sense

Atlanta, GA (PRWEB) September 10, 2013

Opulence Enterprises, LLC supports Breaking The Cycle, Inc. (BTC) by creating an alliance to help raise awarness about the direct benefits to companies for hiring ex offenders and the residual impact the approach can have on the overall economic status of returning citizens. The mission of BTC is to help Veterans and Returning Citizens become productive members of society. The purpose of these events is to help employers develop productive hiring practices with regard to the Veteran and Returning Citizen communities; diminish employer anxiety with regard to potential liability by assisting with effective screening methods to improve decision making and retention; and provide access to information on the benefits of hiring returning citizens.

The Opulence and BTC partnership provides the opportunity to make the greatest difference possible for families and the local economy. Mike Jones, Founder of BTC, Inc., has worked for many years to create cross sectional partnerships with community and business leaders in Cleveland. He's now bringing those efforts to the greater Atlanta metro area. BTC has partnered with Opulence Enterprises, LLC, who will provide career coaching, training and development, and political savvy training to the BTC constituents. Opulence will also provide subject matter experts to conduct information sessions on ways to avoid negligent hiring claims, development of HR policies and procedures to avoid or minimize disparate impact claims from applicants, and other regulatory compliance functions to help improve the hiring process.

Since 2008, Breaking The Cycle has greatly impacted Cleveland communities by providing the following programs to Veterans and Returning Citizens:

Weekly Job Readiness Class (since 2008)

Weekly Computer Skills Training & LinkedIn Networking Class (since 2008)

Resource & Career Expos (2009, 2010, 2011)

Voter Registration Event (2012)

Monthly Veteran P.R.E.P. Class (Positive Reintegration Program - since 2013)

"Breaking the Cycle, Inc. has a proven track record of success in providing access to employment for returning citizens. The BTC leadership have shown a level of commitment to effectuating change that we admire and encourage at Opulence. We are honored to partner with an organzation with such a great mission", says, LeTonya Moore, CEO/Chief Counsel, Opulence Enterprises, LLC. "As part of the Coffee and Donuts event, there will be some candid discussions with our supporting HR professionals to expose the realities of hiring veterans and returning citizens. These realities include dispelling myths and challenging perceptions attached to the "criminal history" stigma; discussing tools and strategies to protect companies from negligent hiring liability; and other useful means of presenting win-win scenarios to help our community", says Moore.

In October 2013, BTC launches its first event in the Atlanta-metro area in partnership with Opulence to host Atlanta organizations and businesses for the following HR and networking events:

1st Annual Coffee and Donuts "Hire-a-Vet & Returning Citizen" HR Meet-and-Greet on Thursday October 10, 2013, 2008 Eastview Parkway, Suite 300 Conyers, GA 8am -1130am in Partnership with Opulence Enterprises, LLC.

Does Yahoo small business web hosting allow add-on domains?

Question by ponderosa_74: Does Yahoo small business web hosting allow add-on domains?
I have a yahoo small business web hosting account and would like to set up an additional website. Can I do that on my account with an add-on domain? Do I have to set up an entirely new web hosting account for this other website?

I know other web hosts allow additional sites on one hosting account. Does Yahoo Small business web hosting?

Best answer:

Answer by Gim
that is depend on your current plan. if you plan allow more than 1 domain, you will be able to do so. if not, you will have to either upgrade your plan or sign up a new plan.

the best way is to drop the customer support an email, and they will be able to get back to you.
