Done. Problem I believe was I did not refresh. Very happy to see that email sent to the site address as a result of my “forwarding” now goes directly to the gmail account which was already added in Mac Mail, so now I don’t think I have to actually add the GoDaddy account to Mail. We plan on publishing the site within the next couple of days so once that is done we will run a test using the contact form and see if the submission is received if not then will add the site address account.

Inclined to agree with GamesR4FITE – The video was wonderful but when I tried to do what needed to be done on my site everything looked different? I felt like Flight 19 over the Bermuda Triangle. I did as far as launching but could not find or see the option to set up a password. My account is showing me the email address but the status still says “setup” but how??? 🙁

You’re very welcome. I know it is a pain. The up selling they do is also quit annoying. I wish you the best

Phew – thanks so much. They said that setting up a Go Daddy account is “intuitive”, sure… if you work for NASA :)) Getting there slowly, and with videos like this it makes life so much easier. Thanks again and all the best.

With the new layout, everything is the same except how you get to the email control center. Hit the black “My Account” button, then go to “Email” from the list of your products. Click the “+” to expand it. If you already had an active email account, hit launch to reach the email control center. Otherwise, hit “Set Up” next the credit you want to activate, wait a moment, then refresh the page and you’ll be able to launch it.

I’ll have to look into that. Thank you for informing me

…Regrettably godaddy seems to have changed the layout of their whole site, so I couldn’t find almost anything shown in this video. -_-

Have you set up the hosting account and associated with the domain name?

  14. ceaos says:

I have a hosting plan with Godaddy and I’ve setup a domain that I’ve bought from somewhere else on it. I want to setup an email for it … but it doesn’t show in the list of domains to choose from. What do I need to do to setup an email?
    🙂

Glad to help 🙂 I use the built in screencasting software that comes with the Mac, being Quicktime X and iMovie. I helped work on the original Quicktime, so I’m a bit biased. Thanks

Hi Derekbanas, great video. It certainly helped me set up my email account in a jiffy.

By the way, what software did you use for your webcasting? Superb.

    Thanks for any reply.
